....AND IT RAINED !!!

....by the time I finished reading Neil Astely's Staying Alive...I found myself soaked in sweat from head to toe and that too when i was sitting perpendicular to the fan!!

I Looked out through my window and found the scorching sun shining brightly and proudly proclaiming his reign. There only, I saw a cute lil bird dipping her head time and again into the small earthen bowl of water which we usually place in our garden for the thirsty birds. The garden looked pretty low and annoyed as if his mom has denied him of his favourite candy! Every thing appeared rude, sad, exhausted and tired!!

The sadness of the whole scenario made me sad as well. While i was standing by my window(...my fav tympass) a feeble yet cool breeze peeped in through the window and helped my wet and well tied hair glide over my face! The very feel of hair on my face infused a sense of happiness in me as some celebration was about to begin. I could clearly notice the leaves colliding their heads with each other and moving ...as a class starts murmuring as soon as the teacher moves out of the class!!

Within no time, I could see the dark grey clouds all over the sky...The breeze grew stronger and now i had to use my hand to help my hair not to get entangled. " So......IS IT GOING TO RAIN?"I asked my self. The divine smell of soil when it drinks water after a hot dry day...began to tanquilize me confirming that it has already started raining!!!And the tip....tip....tip.....soon turned into cats n dogs,,,,,and YESSSS.... it Rained!!!!!

...I extended my hand out of my window to reach out to those condensed droplets which had left the earth due to the boiling mercury......OHHHHHH..!!!! whatt a feeling! I got so excited and carried away... that I removed my hair clip and went out to celebrate the rain out in the porch. The tiny droplets filled my soul with happiness and rejoice and I found my self drenched from head to toe...in holy n heavenly droplets of water!...Me n my garden...both took a sigh of relief,,from that scorching evening of JUNE!

The Unsung Hero...

This is an attempt to bring to the notice of the fellow countrymen about the hero,
who died unsung, Capt.Devinder Singh Jass!

The moment we hear the word HERO lately, only Sachin Tendulkar comes to our minds (for his recent feat of 200*in ODI). Most of us don't even realise that the moment we were all glued to our T.V sets, somebody was fighting the Kasabs (millitants) in Sopore so that another 26/11 or German bakery blasts could be prevented. The moment we were all praying for that one run, there was somebody who deserved these prayers more than anybody else! He promised his family,a colourful holi celebration but unfortunately could bring back only three colors, saffron white and green-the colors of martyrdom, wrapped around his body!

Nodoubt Sachin Tendulkar is an icon, for he wears a blue jersey with INDIA inscribed on it, but for me Capt. Singh was the real hero for he died so that INDIA could flourish. With due respect to our ICON, I pay my homage to THE UNSUNG HERO for he sacrificed his life for you, me and all of us. May his holy soul rest in peace!

Today i am reminded of the lines,"kuch yaad unhe bhi kar lo.... jo laut k ghar na aaye..."

The Solitaire Diamond..

Well...this story is a product of my boring management class!
It is just an arrangement of some english words to give a shape to my random thoughts...
so jusst... a jot of thoughts! For those who don't know..A Solitaire Diamond is a
single diamond set alone...(in jewellery)! Dekhte hain ye diamond kyaa kehta hai...

A Solitaire, so bright and clear,
 every woman's charm,every girl's dear,
Once came to me and looked pretty low!
Amazed at what i saw, for the reason i wanted to know!

  I asked the sparkling beauty,
" wat happened dear?"and took pity!
 U're so beautiful and clear,
but today u look so sad and in despair!

Cried the solitaire,"I am so lonely!"
I am envied by all, alone i stand in dis whole wide world,
and feel no more happy to enthrall!

"I am fed up of dis celebration,
for i have nobody to share!
  I hate those envious eyes,
and  i am hurt by that ugly stare!"

"The cuts that make me special,
are the wounds that aren't easy to heal.
They were all mercilessly carved over my body,
for it is a pain nobody else can feel!"

I was stunned and could not utter a word,
as the lonliness behind the glamour was revealed!
Seriously, I could not believe my ears,
For now I knew about a solitaire's fears!

A Solitaire so bright and clear,
 Every woman's dream,every girls dear!

song of the day - I am lonely without u!

Hope...

This one of my favourite poems written by me..way back... in school (i guess), but it still motivates me whenever m low or I am not sure of what  I am doing!

Whenever you are in the deepest despair,
there z no one to care nd no reason to cheer.

Look into ur heart,
a golden sunbeam lies hidden there.

She says that the darkest cloud can be enlightened,
and a pallid face can be brightened.

She iz hope my dear,
she can bring the dawn.

So do not let go off hope..b'coz
Hope gives u the strength to... go on!

Teaching z so much fun!

Its been 11 days now that I am practicing the profession of teaching,in fact learning to teach! Before dis training period like anyother overconfident idiot I also used to think that teaching is the easiest of all professions! But to my surprise(infact shock)it takes a lot to be a gr8 teacher!Preparing a lesson and den delivering it infront of some unintrested individuals takes hell out of u!

Standing on d dais nd delivering a lecture in front of students who r more den  unintrested in listening, motivating them towards the topic nd keeping them awake for 40 minutes is quite a job!

I have seen people crying, trembling and fumbling on the dais during this period. But I am thank ful to God that my training period has been one of the finest experiences of my life.

The words of praise from my supervisor(who z considered as a very strict supervisor) and my colleagues inspire me evryday.Seriously I never knew that teaching Verbs, nouns, solar systems, plants nd animals was so interesting nd challenging as well! To me teaching has becom a passion,i have started enjoying the process and I m waiting for the macro training where I would be dealing wid the real students!

Now I can proudly call myself a Master jee(as chatur of 3 IDIOTs used to call Rancho).Four more days to go....and den this lovely experience will cum to an end! At dis point of tym I would like to thank nd pay my sincere gratitude towards all my teachers nd would like to apologise to teachers jinko tang kiyaa!

Who loves us more-mom or dad?

Gud evening..

......... back wid another story! Ammmm......... i guess i've becum a storyteller writing these blogs...nevermind......here it goes..

It was a rainy day in August 2008,i was standing near the window of my class room, which faces the road. The animals (my classmates) were shouting and running after each other.I could hear all the ho hallah, but probably i was feeling a li'l low so i didn't react...and kept gazing the busy road.

There is a small play way school on the back side of my department, so most of the time one can see parents with their kids passing thru the road,.... and yes we get to hear all the nursery rhymes wich these blooming buds keep enchanting all the time...machhli jal ki raani..... All types of moods and faces c'd be read from that window! There I saw a middle aged man with his son,the father was takin the kid to the school.Since it was rainy day so a lot of mud and water had spilled all over the road. The father held his son's hand tightly ,took his bag, bottle and tiffin in the other hand and guided him to the other end of the road.I was pleased to see this.

Few minutes later a mother- son duo passed from the same piece of road, the mother noticed the muddy water, she stopped there for a moment and so did my heartbeat as i was dying to see a mother's reaction to the same problem. Par maa to maa hoti hai...she took the son in her lap and crossed the road. I was stunned to see this.

A nonsense question arose in my very tiny brain as soon as i saw the series of events...Who loves the child more ?Is it the mother who  tried to protect her child from all the problems ,or is it the father who held his son firmly during the time of trouble?

Anyhow the lecture started, and obviously i was not listening coz i was still looking for the answer to the question my master brain had put to me!I analyzed the whole situation and some other real life incidents and came to the conclusion.....

..........most of the people after reading this(if at all it gets some readers..:P) would definitely jump to the conclusion favoring the mother. But to me it was an experience of life tym....a mother ,very protective abt her child, tries to protect her child from every problem. She prefers to face the problems herself and so did the mother in the story! But not to forget the father ,he was the one who stood by his son during the time of crisis, shared his burden(bag, bottle) and most importantly taught his son hw to face the problem!
so my tiny miny brain listen care fully.......both the parents love the child equally but in different ways, mother shows it but father doesn't,a mother loves the kid blindly but the father's love is more practical!
 so,,,,,,,,, can not be compared!

what say???

No legacy is so rich as........Honesty

Good Morning

Well.... the last post was a pretty serious one..so today m goin to keep it li'l lighter.Today i'll be narratting a small incident that took place fw months back.

It was a perspiring thursday of May 2009.I was fasting as usual and was travelling back home in a bus...that is even more usual. There only, something unusual happened that touched my heart!

Me n my friend were sittin in a local bus,as we reached our station,we all got up to get out of the bus.Soon a man of 40-45 yrs, sitting behind us found a cell phone lying in the bus.He picked it up and asked for the owner, since it was not ours so we got out of the bus and started walking. But everyone in the bus thot that the cell was ours so they set out to look for those two college girls(both of us).Actually the mobile was lying very close to the seat where we wer sitting so they might have thot so!

As we wer walking,a man of 30-35 ys came up to us and enquired if the cell was ours,we wer a bit surprised. Anyhow we told him that it was not ours and started walking.Soon another man of 50-55yrs came up(panting heavily).."Bachhiyo woh mobile aapka to nahi?",he enquired. We wer so touched by the gesture and told him it was not ours....he added,"mera farzz tha puuchhna....pata nahi kis ka hoga".

We felt so happy and touched and proud at the same tym.But to our surprise this was not the end....another uncle came up...running....and saying.... beta ruko ruko.....[we knew why :)]! Before he could ask somthing..we replied...."Nahin uncle jee.. wo mobile hamara nahi hai..!!".
We could not stop smiling.
In today's world where we are forced to say that ,'Honesty is the second best policy'.... incidents like dis really make me feel that...okk.. Abhi umeed baaki hai.And not only honesty but humanity...becoz then the mobile was then handed over to the 'lost and found' incharge of the bus stand.

...............This one incident made me feel so happy and proud of my fellow citizens(the Akhnoorites) and reminded me of the lines quoted by Shakespeare...

No legacy is so rich...... as... honesty!

Very few things can actually move me,but this one really did! I hope the actual owner gets the mobile phone.
